Malaria
Malaria is a serious and sometimes life-threatening disease caused by parasites transmitted through the bites of infected mosquitoes. It is most common in tropical and subtropical regions. Symptoms often include fever, chills, sweating, headaches, and fatigue, and they can come in cycles. Without proper treatment, malaria can lead to severe complications, especially in young children and those with weakened immune systems. Prevention methods such as mosquito control, bed nets, and medication play an important role in reducing risk.
“The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness.” – Psalm 41:3
Lord of healing and protection,
in times of fever and weakness,
be a refuge for the weary.
When the body is drained and strength is low,
bring renewal little by little.
Watch over them through each difficult moment,
and guard them from further harm.
Let recovery come steadily,
and may Your presence bring comfort
even in the hardest hours. Amen.
