Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection that mainly affects the lungs, though it can spread to other parts of the body. It spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Common symptoms include a persistent cough, chest pain, fever, night sweats, and weight loss. While TB can be serious, it is treatable with proper medical care and a full course of antibiotics. Early detection and consistent treatment are important for recovery and preventing its spread.

“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.” – Jeremiah 30:17

Faithful God,
in long journeys of healing,
stay close to those who must endure.

When treatment feels tiring and progress seems slow,
give them perseverance.
When days are heavy,
lift their spirits with quiet strength.

Surround them with care,
protect those around them,
and lead them step by step toward recovery. Amen.
