My Goal

My name is Evelyn, and I’m a Catholic high school student with a passion for both faith and medicine. I’ve often found it challenging to pray on my own, but I discovered that praying for others makes prayer feel more meaningful and motivating.

As someone who hopes to become a doctor in the future, I wanted to bring these two parts of my life together.. Here, I share prayers inspired by various medical conditions, along with brief explanations to help others better understand what those conditions are and how they affect people’s lives.

I hope that this platform not only deepens compassion and awareness but also encourages more people to turn to prayer for others.

God bless!

The Science between Praying and Healing

Praying for the sick is a powerful way to care for others and trust in God’s love. Research shows that prayer can sometimes bring real benefits. For example, a study by Cha et al. found that women receiving distant prayer during fertility treatments had nearly twice the pregnancy rate compared to those who were not prayed for. Another study by Lesniak showed that bush babies healed faster when prayed for, demonstrating that prayer can have effects beyond human belief or expectation.

Even when scientific results are mixed, prayer provides comfort, hope, and peace. It can reduce stress, lift spirits, and strengthen faith. For Catholics, praying for the sick is not just about physical healing; it is a way to unite with God, support others spiritually, and show Christ’s love in times of suffering.
