Meningitis
Meningitis is a serious condition involving inflammation of the protective membranes around the brain and spinal cord. It can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi, and symptoms may include fever, severe headache, neck stiffness, nausea, sensitivity to light, and confusion. Some forms can progress rapidly and require urgent medical treatment. Vaccination and early medical care play an important role in prevention and recovery.
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.” – Psalm 18:2
God of mercy,
be near in moments of sudden illness and fear.
Protect those facing serious infection,
bring wisdom and speed to medical teams,
and strengthen families waiting anxiously beside hospital beds.
Where pain is intense, bring relief.
Where confusion and fear rise, bring peace.
Hold every patient safely in Your care
and guide them toward healing and recovery. Amen.
