Allergies
Allergies happen when the immune system overreacts to something that is usually harmless. These triggers, called allergens, can include things like pollen, dust, pet dander, certain foods (like peanuts or dairy), insect stings, or medications. When someone with allergies is exposed to these substances, their body releases chemicals like histamine, which can cause symptoms such as sneezing, itching, rashes, watery eyes, or swelling. In more severe cases, allergies can lead to a dangerous reaction called "anaphylaxis”” which requires immediate medical attention. Allergies can be seasonal, environmental, or food-related, and while there is no complete cure, many people manage them with medications, avoidance, and medical care.
Heavenly Father,
You are the Creator of all things, and You know every detail of our bodies and our struggles. We lift up all those who suffer from allergies, whether mild or severe. Bring them comfort in moments of irritation and fear, and grant them relief from the symptoms that disrupt their daily lives.
Lord, protect them from harmful reactions, especially in times when danger feels near. Guide doctors, families, and caregivers in providing the right treatment and support. Give strength to those who must constantly be cautious, and peace to those who feel anxious about their condition.
May Your healing presence be with them always, reminding them they are never alone in their suffering. Through Your grace, bring them safety, comfort, and hope.
Amen.
