Lyme Disease
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection spread through the bite of infected blacklegged ticks. Early symptoms often include fever, fatigue, headaches, muscle aches, and sometimes a circular “bullseye” rash around the bite. If left untreated, Lyme disease can affect the joints, heart, and nervous system. Early diagnosis and antibiotics are important for recovery, though some people may continue to experience lingering symptoms for a period of time.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” – Isaiah 40:29
Lord,
when exhaustion lingers and healing feels slow,
carry those who feel worn down.
Strengthen aching bodies,
steady discouraged hearts,
and give patience through long recoveries.
Bring clarity to doctors, wisdom to treatment,
and hope to those frustrated by setbacks.
May strength return little by little,
and may each new day bring renewed energy and peace. Amen.
